🎮 Play NowSpeed 60s is a simple but useful mini game: type as many words as possible in 60 seconds. At the end, the system calculates your WPM (Words Per Minute) and accuracy.
This is similar to typeracer.com and 10fastfingers.com — the international standard for measuring typing speed. Results are comparable with peers, can be added to your CV, or used as personal progress metrics.
Enter Speed 60s and a passage appears. Countdown starts from 60. Type the passage as fast and accurately as possible.
Results include:
- WPM: words per minute (standard: 1 word = 5 characters)
- Accuracy: % of correct characters
- Rating: Slow / Average / Fast / Excellent
Save your personal best and retry to improve.
Adult average worldwide is 40-50 WPM. If you reach 60 WPM you're good, 80 WPM excellent.
Accuracy standard: 95% or higher. Below 90% is considered "sloppy typing".
Method 1: Learn proper 10-finger technique. If typing 2-4 fingers, switching to 10 can double your speed.
Method 2: Master Home Row. Index fingers on F/J. Familiar keys on the middle row type fastest.
Method 3: Don't look at the keyboard. Force your brain to memorize positions. Slow at first but faster than looking after 2-4 weeks.
Method 4: Play Speed 60s daily. 3-5 times per day, log results. You'll see progress within a week.
Method 5: Invest in a good keyboard. A mechanical keyboard can boost speed 10-15% just from better tactile feedback.
Use 1: Track personal progress. Test weekly to see if speed is climbing.
Use 2: Interview prep. Many companies require minimum WPM. Test 60s tells you where you stand.
Use 3: CV enhancement. "Typing speed: 75 WPM, 98% accuracy" is a plus for office roles.
Use 4: Peer comparison. Share results, friendly competition — motivation to practice.
Use 5: Warm-up before online tests. Before IELTS Writing or TOEFL Writing, use Speed 60s to warm up.
